A parents response

“Thank you to you and your team for letting her feel cared for, safe and confident to achieve more. This has a huge impact on her life and that of her family around her. You seem to see in her abilities and talent that the mainstream environment sadly could not.  In the last 6 months we have heard laughter and and joy and she at times has started to open up to us… from the bottom of my heart I thank you, she is achieving and progressing and what’s more wanting to set her own goals, she’s motivated! What a different child we see today than first walked through your doors”.  (Quote from parent)

During a recent Network Meeting and visit to S it was identified that this was the only support that S engages with. In S’s own words she “trusts animals, feels safe, can be herself”. S does not leave the family home apart from to go to JAC. She has learning difficulties, attachment disorder, SLI, obsessions and anxiety”. (JAC have been working with S for over 4 years.)
