Outreach work Where it all started. We have been out ‘on the street’ in Woodley since 1998 and our first ever vehicle was the much-loved red bus! Over the years our Outreach work has spread to the areas of Wokingham, Earley, Crowthorne, Newtown, Wales, Canada (JAC international!) and we are in the process of establishing a team in Bracknell. Why we believe our Outreach work is important. Our Outreach work is often our first point of contact with Young People. We meet them on ‘their turf’ and have the privilege of walking with them, getting to know them and supporting them in their struggles. With consistency, time, a listening ear and a non-judgemental attitude (and of course hot chocolate) – we have witnessed incredible change in Young People and have built relationships with some that have spanned 20 years.
