Clare Haley Sessional Mentor Expand Clare started working for JAC 5 years ago. She mentors young people mainly using the medium of clay, but also does some work with the small animals and the equine side of things. She enjoys the variety of the work at JAC.
Jess Revell Stablehand Expand Jess started out at JAC as a volunteer, became an apprentice and is now a full time member of staff in the yard. She spends her time maintaining the stables and looking after the horses, in addition she works alongside young people who are completing horse care qualifications, providing support and expertise. She has completed her NVQ level 2 in horse care and riding, and is moving on to her level 3.
Katie Hawkes Mentor Expand Katie began her time with JAC volunteering on Saturday's, working with Trudi, then began to volunteer full time in 2015 before signing up at Moorlands and completing her placement at JAC. She then joined the JAC staff in 2019. Katie takes a lead role in running our detached work in the local area, as well as mentoring young people through her joint passions of animals and art. Katie loves her dog and pet hedgehog and takes great joy in recognising the change occurring in the young people she works with.
Naomi Gardner Stables Manager Expand Daughter of the founders of JAC, Naomi has grown up involved with the work of the charity but has taken it on to new levels with her own love of horses. Starting officially in 2009, Naomi works as the Stables Manager and Programme coordinator at Rehoboth. She takes the lead role in EAGALA sessions, teaching the NVQ's and riding lessons. Her passion is to see everyone she works with (young people, staff, volunteers and horses!) achieve the very best they can.
Sam Milligan Development Director (Founder) Expand Sam and his wife Yvonne founded the Charity in 1998. Sam is the visionary of the organization and as Development Director is seldom content with a status quo, he works from a place of calling and as such doesn't see anything he does as work. On a daily basis you could find him meeting with the leaders of the Council or Churches and then within an hour fixing fences or digging over the allotment with a group of volunteers. Sam also keeps in touch with the core work of the Charity and has a number of 1:1 mentoring sessions and co-leads the EAGALA sessions with Naomi.
Sam Prince Receptionist - Event Co-ordinator Expand Sam has been at JAC since 2016, but has JAC in her blood growing up literally in the JAC world, since it was birthed. She works part time at Rehoboth during term-time to greet all those who walk through our doors with a friendly smile. As well as this, she organises the upcoming fundraising events for JAC, this has ranged from small Games Nights to our big Barn Dance all raising awareness of JAC, opening our doors to even more people, and of course helping with much needed funds! Sam has 3 young children and she and her husband are in the leadership team in their church, Eden.
Trudi Eisner Mentor Expand Trudi has been with JAC since 2006. She loves all the animals, especially the horses which she grew up around. Trudi enjoys working with young people through the equine assisted learning programme, and has a passion to see them reach their full potential. Outside work, Trudi has 2 children and is a keen runner. In September this year, along with 2 other members of staff, she is taking on The New Forest Full Marathon to raise money for the work of JAC.
Yvonne Milligan Operations Director (Founder) Expand Yvonne and her husband Sam founded the Charity in 1998 and the whole family have been 'in it' from the beginning in one way or another, sometimes by choice and sometimes by necessity! It was a number of years later before Yvonne came onto the staff team as Operations Director. She now keeps the show on the road on a daily basis supported by a fantastic team that has grown in number and passion over the years; as well as working on strategy and vision with Sam and the Trustees. Yvonne still likes to ensure she is in touch with the grassroots so has a couple of mentoring sessions each term.
